It’s a new year

Time has this weird habit of just flying by! Gosh it’s almost the middle of January already and I have been terrible at keeping up-to-date with my blogging.

Being a working mother of two is sure a busy journey and I am not complaining, just finding it more difficult to find the time to sit down and create some time for reflection.

Yet I have such a need to sit and reflect, as I am a firm believer that if we don’t we miss the beautiful moments. We miss the opportunities to appreciate the moments that shape of lives. Those stunning moments spent with those you so dearly love. Moments on holiday, moments at home, moments seeing your children bloom.

I have been so blessed to have had many stunning moments these past few weeks and I feel so full of love. I am so full of happiness and so full of gratitude. These past few weeks was nothing short of glorious, our annual family Christmas Gift Exchange on the hot but rainy ;10 December, my wedding anniversary on the 14th of December, Christmas Eve dinner, fantastic Christmas Day lunch, our family holiday in Durban over New Years, followed by my awesome birthday on 5 January. Shew!!! It’s been great.

The older I get, the more I realise just how important family is. They are the ones who really stick it out with you. The ones who love you regardless of your many flaws. I have come to enjoy and yearn for more time with family. Time has become so very precious and I cannot wait for the next time we all get together, where we eat, laugh, cry and love on each other.

I pray this year will be a year of more family time. More time to create moments of pure happiness. I pray it will be a good year to grow closer with the Creator and His Creation.

Here’s to 2018.
